Bush and Beach
Day 1
On arrival at Dar Es Salaam International Airport, you will be greeted by your expert guides who will be at your side for the duration of your stay to ensure your protection and answer your every need. Your luggage will be retrieved, and you will be taken swiftly to the awaiting private flight to transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater, where Maasai meets Versailles, themed in romance on the rim of Ngorongoro’s ancient caldera; wildlife in abundance, sunsets to the rhythm of Maasai chants and a world of mindful impact. After settling in you will experience your first glimpse of the African wildlife on a game drive headed towards Sunset. On return there will be a private wine cellar dinner and star gazing before you fall asleep to the sounds of the African bush.
Day 2
On waking breakfast will be waiting for you. Today you will have the opportunity to interact with the KopeLion conservation team to get a deeper understanding of their day-to-day operations and what it is really like for the Maasai to live side by side with wildlife. After this moving experience you will be able to luxuriate at the Spa wiling away the day until your evening game drive once again. A Private Sundowner Site will be booked for you overlooking the crater for blessings, celebrations or just the most spectacular sundowners with Maasai chanting in the background. Dinner can be together or a romantic setting for each couple
Day 3
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, you will be flown to the Canvas camp site where you can completely immerse yourself in the surrounding wilderness, in comfort. Follow the wildlife theatre of Serengeti’s Great Migration, in unsurpassed under-canvas luxury. Glide in a hot air balloon over the migration herds in the Serengeti on this captivating experience. Float in whichever direction the wind of the morning takes you. Marvel at the views of the sweeping plains below and wildlife dotted across the landscape. End off your experience with a delicious breakfast spread in the heart of the Serengeti plains. Dine under an African night sky and live the adventure. Leave only footprints.
Day 4
On awaking in the wilds you will enjoy game drives in the Serengeti which are unforgettable due to the abundance of wildlife and the spectacular landscapes. Travelers can expect to encounter large numbers of animals year-round, with big herds of elephant, buffalo and other plains game. It is also common to see predator interaction. Game drives may last from a couple of hours to the whole day, with a picnic breakfast and lunch. The choice is yours. Explore the vast night sky and its stunning constellations gathered around a cozy campfire. Scan the velvet expanse and observe the northern and southern hemisphere stars in one place. Marvel at the infinite sky, which features the Big Dipper in the northern hemisphere and the Southern Cross and Pointers in the southern hemisphere.
Day 5 & 6
You will once again be whisked off in on a private flight to the Gumeti in the Western Corridor of the renowned Serengeti National Park, wildlife viewing is truly exceptional throughout the year. The camp’s location on a tributary of the Grumeti River means that it is ideally positioned for sightings of dramatic river crossings when the famous Great Wildebeest Migration is in the area. However, the wildlife experience can be even more spectacular when the Migration is not nearby, with a staggering density of year-round wildlife and relatively few tourists encountered in this part of the reserve. While the camp itself is sheltered in the riverside thickets and provides beautiful views of a river bend inhabited by hippo, game drives venture out into the wide-open plains, where guests can enjoy the quintessential Serengeti landscapes in open 4x4 safari vehicles with canvas canopies. Here we will embark on a walking safari to get up close and personal with the wildlife of the area. After the walk you will be able to luxuriate at the onsite spa once again.
Day 7
After another breathtaking morning game drive, we will once again fly in a private aircraft to Nairobi. For a bit of a bush break you will stay at the world-renowned Giraffe Manor hotel for the night with a spa day pamper session to relax, rejuvenate and revive.
Day 8
Today we whisk you off to the Masai Mara National Park to once again become immersed in the African bush, here you will have the opportunity to Immerse yourself in the Masai Mara, translated into spotted land of the Maasai, where you can interact with the staff, from local communities. Or visit a traditional village and witness the daily rituals and traditions of the Maasai culture. As well as incredible game viewing opportunities.
Day 9 - 11
For a once in a lifetime experience today you embark on your own private helicopter safari. To have a helicopter all to yourself gives you the freedom to see the most raw, beautiful and untouched landscapes, some that have never been inhabited and only ever seen by a lucky few. This journey of a lifetime will take you to see the Suguta valley, Lake Turkana, Mathew’s Range and lava deserts. Staying in luxury lodges and camps you will truly feel like royalty.
Day 12 - 14
There is nothing more magical, nor more privileged in terms of African wildlife experiences than a gorilla trekking and safari tour. If contemplating a grand tour of Africa, then coming upon these gently grazing giants in their natural, jungle domain, would be an unmissable highlight. For the next three days you will have the magical experience of tracking the gorilla families of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You’ll be led by expert guides on this experience of a lifetime, hiking through the misty mountains to encounter these rare giants.
Day 15 - 17
Set out in search of magical encounters with the ten families of mountain gorilla that makes the Virunga Mountains their home. Explore this romantic, scenic landscape, where Dian Fossey carried out her ground-breaking gorilla research, traversing slopes covered with rainforest and bamboo. Home to no less than five volcanoes, you will delve deep into the park’s dense, misty forests, accompanied by an expert ranger. It typically takes between two and five hours to locate your allocated gorilla family and you will then have the opportunity to spend some time quietly observing these charismatic creatures.
Savour every second as you watch them foraging, playing, teasing each other, eating or slumbering in an uncanny resemblance to ourselves. At times the trek to view them may be arduous, with steep rises covered in dense vegetation.
Inhabiting areas which are not easily reachable, gorillas reside where there is an abundance of food plants near the ground and think nothing of climbing incredibly lofty hills to get to them. Your formidable trek will be richly rewarded when you first set eyes on these extraordinary creatures.
Day 18 - 21
After another breathtaking morning game drive we will once again fly in a private aircraft to a private island in Zanzibar for the last three days of complete relaxation. This romantic, barefoot-island haven in the Zanzibar Archipelago is committed to a legacy of community upliftment and marine conservation. This island is an important green turtle breeding site and the conservation team work hard to protect and monitor turtle nests throughout the year. Track the footprints of female turtles at night and observe their nests during the year-round nesting season, peaking between April and August.
Grab a snorkel, mask and a set of fins and explore the kaleidoscopic coral reefs around the Island. Take out a kayak or try your hand at stand-up paddle boarding. You can set off on either a guided or a solo adventure in the tranquil waters surrounding the island.
Diving around Zanzibar features shallow coral gardens, walls adorned with spiral corals, tropical fish species, perfect underwater visibility and some of the best dive sites in the world.
